Biography:

Cal Dodd is a famous Irish-Canadian singer and voice actor. His credits are vast and span many facets of the entertainment industry. From recording solo albums/EP's in the Pop/Rock idiom, to ensemble works/session vocals in the worlds of choral-oriented Pop music (Laurie Bower Singers/The Corporate Image), Rock music (Déjà Vu David Clayton Thomas, Lisa Dal Bello, Ian Thomas) , Folk/Country music (Tom Dunn, Deborah Dunleavy), Jazz music (Hugh Marsh, Doug Riley, Tom Szczesniak), TV/Radio Jingles, Children's music (Thomas & Friends, Voices With Heart), Musicals (Mandragola, Hamlet [Rock Opera], Famous People Players) and Television/movie/video game voice acting.

Cathal J. Dodd was born in Dublin, Ireland on May 23rd, 1956. Dodd's family moved from Ireland to Port Dover, Ontario in his youth. Here he began to cultivate a love of music. His mother was a music teacher at Port Dover Public School, nurturing his and his younger brother Rory's growing love/talent in music.

Around the ago of seventeen, Cal began singing with famous Canadian vocal group 'The Laurie Bower Singers'. He sang on eight albums with the group between 1973 and 1983 (seven albums as LBS and one as the ensemble of the Toronto-focused novelty record 'Toronto: What Other City Calls Its Main Street Yonge?'). During this period, he also sang with Déjà Vu, The Corporate Image and had many session credits with an assortment of Canadian solo acts (David Clayton Thomas, Lisa Dal Bello, Tom Dunn, Doug Riley, among others).

His earliest solo offerings were a pair of CBC EP's released in 1974 and 1975 respectively. The latter was an assortment of songs from Cliff Jones' 'Hamlet', a rock opera based on the classic tragedy by William Shakespeare.

Next in the solo sphere, Cal recorded with producer Bob Hahn in Canada, which consisted of demos and material to be submitted to major labels. His recordings ended
