Hồ Ngọc Hà (born 25 November 1984) is a Vietnamese singer, model and actress.

She started her singing career by releasing her first album titled 24/7 back in 2004. The album was a hit which helped her to make an appearance in Asia Song Festival in South Korea.

As being brand ambassador of Sunsilk, she cooperated with the brand to release new album and later run on tour campaign. Her second album Tìm Lại Giấc Mơ (Finding Dreams) was released in 2010 along with many mini projects which were later released in 2011. At the end of 2011, she released her 6th album named Invincible - Sẽ Mãi Bên Nhau with same title head single.

She won 2 awards among 12 nominations, including Golden Apricot Blossom Award, HTV Award, Green Wave Award, Golden Album, Yan Vpop 20. On 14 April 2012, she won Favorite Female Singer Award with 14.216 votes at HTV Award.

Along her singing career, she also starred in many films and made appearance in TV dramas such as Hoa Cỏ May, the movies 39 Độ Yêu (39 Degree of Love) and Chiến Dịch Trái Tim Bên Phải (Right Heart Campaign). She has been the brand ambassador of Sunplay, Toshiba, Sony Ericsson, Sunsilk and also an ambassador of music channel YanTV.

She was born in An Cựu, Huế City of Thừa Thiên Huế Province (now is Thuận Hóa District of Huế Municipality) but later moved to Quảng Bình Province with her parents.     Early life

    Thầy was born on October 11, 1926, into a large family in the ancient imperial capital of Huế in central Vietnam. His father Nguyễn Đình Phúc was from Thành Trung village in the province of Thừa Thiên, Huế, and was an official for land reform in the Imperial Administration under the French.

    His mother, Trần Thị Dĩ, was from Hà Trung village, in Gio Linh District, in the neighboring province of Quảng Trị.He was the second-youngest of their six children, with three older brothers, an elder sister, and a younger brother born soon after him. He lived until aged five with his extended family, including uncles, aunts, and cousins, at the home of his paternal grandmother—a large house with a traditional courtyard and garden, with a lotus pond and bamboo grove, within the old imperial city walls. 

    When Thầy was four, his father was assigned to work in the northern province of Thanh Hóa, about 500 kilometers north in the mountains. A year later, the family moved up to join him.     Thích Nhất Hạnh (TIK NAHT HAHN; Vietnamese:[tʰǐk̟ɲə̌thâjŋ̟ˀ], Huế dialect: [tʰɨt̚˦˧˥ɲək̚˦˧˥hɛɲ˨˩ʔ]; born Nguyễn Xuân Bảo; 11 October 1926 – 22 January 2022) was a Vietnamese Thiền Buddhist monk, peace activist, prolific author, poet and teacher, who founded the Plum Village Tradition, historically recognized as the main inspiration for engaged Buddhism. Known as the "father of mindfulness", Nhất Hạnh was a major influence on Western practices of Buddhism.

    In the mid-1960s, Nhất Hạnh co-founded the School of Youth for Social Services and created the Order of Interbeing. He was exiled from South Vietnam in 1966 after expressing opposition to the war and refusing to take sides. In 1967, Martin Luther King, Jr. nominated him for a Nobel Peace Prize. Nhất Hạnh established dozens of monasteries and practice centers and spent many years living at the Plum Village Monastery, which he founded in 1982 in southwest France near Thénac, traveling internationally to give retreats and talks. Nhất Hạnh promoted deep listening as a nonviolent solution to conflict and sought to raise awareness of the interconnectedness of environments that sustain and promote peace. He coined the term "engaged Buddhism" in his book Vietnam: Lotus in a Sea of Fire.

    After a 39-year exile, Nhất Hạnh was permitted to visit Vietnam in 2005. In 2018, he returned to Vietnam to his "root temple", Từ Hiếu Temple, near Huế, where he lived until his death in 2022, at the age of 95.
